By establishing a business within parallel import of pharmaceuticals, our goal is to contribute positively to the pharmaceutical supply chain and eco-system by improving the way medicines are sourced, distributed, and managed. Ultimately, we aim to anticipate stock shortages earlier and reduce supply volatility — ensuring a more stable flow of medicines to pharmacies and healthcare providers, and helping create a more resilient healthcare system that benefits both patients and society.

Founder & Managing Director
My name is Mikkel Uhrlund Ley, M.Sc.Eng., PhD from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and I am the Founder and Managing Director of Eir Medicine.
Over the past 10 years, I have worked across both academia and the pharmaceutical industry, with a consistent focus on data science, technology, and innovation. My background is in Applied Modelling Physics, and throughout my career I have built expertise in computation and simulation, medical device research, biostatistics, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, as well as clinical drug development.
What has always motivated me is a curiosity for solving complex healthcare challenges and finding practical solutions that can make a meaningful difference for patients. Growing up, I was inspired by my father's story as an entrepreneur and his willingness to build something from the ground up. That inspired me to pursue a similar path and eventually take the leap into entrepreneurship myself.
Through Eir Medicine, I have the opportunity to combine my scientific background, passion for innovation, and commitment to improving access to medicines. I founded the company on the belief that smarter use of data, technology, and supply chain insights can strengthen access to medicines and help shape the future of healthcare.
My ambition is to improve medicine availability, reduce supply disruptions and medicine shortages, and contribute to a more resilient and patient-centered healthcare system. By combining scientific rigor with an entrepreneurial mindset, I hope to help build solutions that create real value for both patients and society.
